Ditch the frying pan and homemade batter this Pancake Day!
The UK has its fair share of places serving up delicious stacks on Pancake Day. So whether you’re in the mood for American-style or French crêpes, Betway has listed the best spots where you can treat yourself to your favourite fluffy, sugary treats – with three Liverpool restaurants making the top five!
Measuring popularity by a unique index score – generated by the number of hashtags each location has racked up on Instagram, as well as Google and Tripadvisor reviews – with the lower the overall index score the higher the ranking – restaurants and cafes from Birmingham, Liverpool and Cardiff placed in the top 10.
Stacking high above the rest, Ju Ju’s Cafe in Birmingham came out on top with an overall index score of 13. The independent family run restaurant located in the city centre offers a selection of pancake options, from banana and salted caramel, berry, and crispy bacon and syrup. Bold Street Coffee in Liverpool, which serves both sweet and savory pancakes, came in second place with an index of 21. Located in High Street Arcade in Cardiff, Barkers Tea House also proved popular with pancake lovers in third place with an index of 25.
Moose Coffee has three different locations across Liverpool, with its Dale Street branch placing fourth. From chocolate spread to Canadian maple syrup and butter, the eatery treats its customers to a stack of three fluffy pancakes with a dusting of icing sugar, all made fresh to order. Meanwhile, pancakes from Brasco Lounge in Liverpool complete the top five.
